Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

It is our pleasure to introduce the third issue of the Journal with articles on various viruses. The WHO 2030 goal for the eradication of hepatitis as a public health needs a global approach to some of the key populations such as people who use or inject drugs The retrospective study "A comparison of sofosbuvir/velpatasvir and glecaprevir/pibrentasvir for the treatment of hepatitis C infection among people who use or inject drugs" by Dr S Yi and al from British Columbia, Canada, shows among inner city Vancouver no difference between the two regimens with a high degree of efficacy for HCV treatment, highlighting the need for adherence support which should lead in the future to a standard of care in these difficult to treat populations. The article "Indomethacin inhibits human seasonal coronaviruses at late stages of viral replication in lung cells: impact on virus-induced COX-2 expression" by Dr C Tramontozzi et al. from La Sapienza University, Rome, Italy shows the potent anti-inflammatory properties and direct antiviral activity of indomethacin which could be effective in the treatment of Alpha and Beta coronavirus infections.Nipah virus is a bat-borne, zoonotic virus that is responsible for infection in human and other animals.Outbreaks are seasonal in some areas of the world. It remains a priority disease for the WHO Research and Development Blueprint with a high mortality rate. The study "Knowledge and attitude among Bangladeshi healthcare workers regarding the management and infection prevention and control of Nipah virus" by Dr T Islam et al. from Bangladesh shows among healthcare workers a need to enhance knowledge about the virus to prepare for future outbreaks.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
