Abstract. Halal tourism, grounded in Islamic principles, holds immense potential in Indonesia, particularly in Bandung Regency, which is rich in tourist villages. However, its implementation faces challenges, including a lack of public understanding and participation. This study aims to analyze the aspirations of the Bandung Regency community towards halal tourism policies and formulate recommendations for its development. The research employs a qualitative approach, utilizing questionnaires and in-depth interviews, focusing on respondents of productive age (17-64 years). The findings reveal majority support for halal tourism, driven by its potential economic, social, and cultural benefits. The community also expresses a desire for active participation in its planning and development. However, the study also identifies gaps in understanding the concept of halal tourism, along with concerns about potential discrimination and price increases. Based on these findings, strategic recommendations are proposed, including: (1) Strengthening the regulatory framework and establishing a dedicated halal tourism body, (2) Intensive socialization and education about halal tourism, (3) Developing unique products and services aligned with halal principles, (4) Enhancing the quality of human resources in the halal tourism sector, (5) Utilizing digital technology for efficiency, (6) Fostering cross-sector collaboration, (7) Establishing strong halal tourism branding, and (8) Conducting periodic monitoring and evaluation. These recommendations are expected to maximize the potential of halal tourism in Bandung Regency while ensuring its inclusivity and sustainability. Abstrak.
