Diferencias en teoría de la mente en abusadores sexuales extrafamiliares e intrafamiliares

Resumen La investigación tuvo como objetivo comparar las habilidades de teoría de la mente entre un grupo de hombres condenados por abuso sexual que cometieron el delito en un ambiente intrafamiliar con un grupo de hombres con la misma condena que cometieron el delito en un ambiente extrafamiliar. Adicionalmente, se incluyó un grupo de hombres que no habían sido judicializados por ningún delito. Se realizó un estudio descriptivo-comparativo con 41 hombres entre 21 y 50 años, que se encontraban en el Complejo Carcelario y Penitenciario Metropolitano de Bogotá, Cárcel la Picota, condenados por el delito de abuso sexual a menor de 14 años; se tomó como punto de referencia el medio en el que se cometió el delito: intrafamiliar o extrafamiliar. Se aplicó una ficha de recolección de información sociodemográfica, el Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MOCA), el inventario de depresión Estado/Rasgo (IDER) y la Escala Diagnóstica de Estrés Postraumático, de los que se tomaron algunos indicadores para los criterios de inclusión de la muestra. Luego se evaluó la habilidad de lectura de la mente través del test de la mirada y la ToM (Teoría de la Mente). Los resultados de este análisis indican que entre los dos grupos de abusadores sexuales y el grupo control hay diferencias estadísticamente significativas en las puntuaciones del test de la mirada, así como en las dimensiones de la ToM correspondientes a reconocimiento de emociones, toma de perspectiva y la competencia social. No se encontraron diferencias significativas en la toma de perspectiva y la competencia social determinada por la ToM al comparar los abusadores sexuales con el grupo control, contrario a lo encontrado en otras investigaciones similares.
