Abstract
Les méandres d’une mondialisation à sens unique, supposée ou réelle, sont de nature à susciter des réactions rentrant dans ce qu’il est désormais convenu de nommer « exception culturelle ». Sur le plan des langues, véhicules par excellence des cultures, les droits linguistiques sous-tendent toutes les initiatives visant à sauvegarder et à valoriser des niches écolinguistiques, particulièrement. C’est dans cette brèche que s’engouffrent les promoteurs de la langue medumba (mə̀dʉ̂mbὰ) au Cameroun. La créativité dans la sensibilisation, la standardisation, l’enseignement, les travaux terminologiques, les opérations traductives et la vulgarisation de l’usage dévoile l’élan engagé du Comité de langue et d’étude pour la production des œuvres mə̀dʉ̂mbὰ (CEPOM).
