Abstract

Los Programas de Desarrollo Profesional Docente (DPD) ofrecen una oportunidad para mejorar la educación, aunque sus resultados varíen. En América Latina, Honduras y Nicaragua han avanzado en la profesionalización docente, pero persisten desafíos. En este contexto se implementó un proyecto de innovación pedagógica en escuelas rurales de ambos países para investigar su impacto en el DPD, enfocándose en los cambios de creencias y prácticas docentes, así como en las características efectivas de la innovación. La metodología cualitativa incluyó 19 observaciones de clases, entrevistas individuales con 19 docentes y 16 entrevistas grupales con estudiantes. Se identificaron cambios hacia paradigmas constructivistas, destacando el papel mediador del docente, el uso de preguntas para estimular el aprendizaje activo y el reconocimiento de la importancia de los aspectos socioemocionales en el aprendizaje. La flexibilidad y adaptabilidad se destacaron como atributos cruciales de la innovación, alineándose con las características de los programas de DPD eficaces.
