Este artículo contribuye a las discusiones sobre la dimensión política del enfoque de los sistemas socioecológicos (SSE) y a la apertura transdisciplinar de la ecología política (EP), a partir de una articulación con otros conocimientos disciplinares y comunitarios con potencial transformador. El artículo propone un enfoque transdisciplinar que integra las perspectivas de los sistemas socioecológicos (SSE), la ecología política, la investigación-acción participativa (IAP), los conocimientos ecológicos locales, y la creatividad artística con el fin de perseguir los siguientes horizontes investigativos: 1) Desarrollar posicionamientos teóricos críticos que incluyan la comprensión de relaciones de poder, las situaciones de desigualdad y la agencia social desde posicionamientos ontológicos diversos—la integración entre SSE y EP: 2) Emplear estrategias creativas para facilitar procesos de co-creación, circulación y apropiación de los resultados de investigación -la integración de habilidades y lenguajes creativos: y 3) Generar procesos de trabajo colectivos que busquen el establecimiento de relaciones más horizontales con el objetivo de construir agendas comunes de transformación—articulación con la IAP. Nos basamos en varias experiencias de investigación que hemos llevado a cabo con organizaciones campesinas inmersas en conflictividades socioambientales en Colombia.
