La présente étude a pour but de documenter le rapport au savoir des superviseurs pédagogiques (inspecteurs et conseillers pédagogiques) en éducation physique et sportive (EPS) relié aux styles d’enseignement de Mosston et Ashwoth (2006). Pour ce faire, vingt superviseurs pédagogiques (inspecteurs et conseillers pédagogiques) ont participé à deux focus group d’une durée de quatre-vingt-dix minutes chacun. L’analyse de contenu des retranscriptions intégrales des entrevues de groupe a servi de technique d’analyse des données. Les résultats obtenus indiquent que les superviseurs (conseillers et inspecteurs) pédagogiques n’ont pas une bonne connaissance de tous les styles d’enseignement de Mosston et Asworth. Par ailleurs, les inspecteurs pédagogiques indiquent que seuls les styles d’enseignement de la « catégorie reproduction » sont pertinents au Congo. À contrario, pour les conseillers pédagogiques, tous les styles d’enseignement sont pertinents. En fin, tous les superviseurs pédagogiques (inspecteurs et conseillers pédagogiques) déclarent avoir besoin d’une formation sur les styles d’enseignement de Mosston et Ashworth afin de mieux accompagner les enseignants d’EPS en exercice.
