La editorial "Contracorrientes para el Buen Vivir: Explorando el pluriverso de las ingenierías" de esta edición de la revista presenta una crítica a la ingeniería contemporánea, la cual se ha enfocado en la eficiencia y ha estado desconectada de su entorno, exacerbando desigualdades sociales y alterando ciclos naturales. A través de una serie de entrevistas, artículos, reseñas y cuentos, se exploran alternativas que buscan rediseñar la tecnología y la ingeniería para que respondan a las necesidades locales y mejoren las condiciones de vida de las comunidades. Se destaca la importancia de la interdisciplinariedad, la ética y la solidaridad en la práctica de la ingeniería, proponiendo un enfoque que priorice el Buen Vivir y la justicia social en un contexto global marcado por el consumismo y el cambio climático.
