Au Québec, le Cadre de référence pour la formation des enseignants associés et des superviseurs de stage (Portelance et al., 2008) guide l’élaboration de dispositifs de formations destinées aux enseignants associés (EA). Toutefois, il est peu adapté au contexte de la formation professionnelle du fait que la posture d’accompagnement de ses EA s’apparente davantage à celle du mentor qu’à celle du formateur comme on l’entend de façon générale (Gagné et Gagnon, 2022). Afin d’assurer une application pertinente du Cadre de référence dans le contexte de l’enseignement professionnel, il est nécessaire de procéder à son actualisation en considérant la réalité singulière de ses EA. Une étude de cas unique a donc été menée auprès de 15 EA et des entrevues semi-dirigées ont été réalisées. À la suite d’un processus d’analyse thématique, il a été possible d’identifier les principaux savoirs professionnels mobilisés par les EA durant l’accompagnement de stagiaires (Gagné, 2019). À la lumière de ces résultats et de leur mise en relation avec le Cadre de référence pour la formation des accompagnants, des recommandations sont formulées afin de maximiser la pertinence des dispositifs de formation offerts aux EA de l’enseignement professionnel.
