Abstract
L’Éducation relative à l’Environnement (ErE), dans certaines de ses approches, peut entrer en résonance avec la philosophie néoplatonicienne en mettant l’accent sur l’interconnexion du vivant et sur une vision organiquement unifiée du monde, en nourrissant notamment une sensibilité particulière à l’unus mundus (le monde dans son unité), cette idée d’un monde profondément relié, qui trouve un écho dans la notion d’Anima Mundi, l’Âme du monde, au cœur du néoplatonisme. L’ancestrale doctrine des quatre éléments - terre, eau, air, feu – permet également de penser ces interconnexions sous une forme symbolique et sensible. Cet article explore les points d’articulations entre ces deux espaces de pensée, en mettant en lumière des héritages tels que l’humanisme cosmique de la Renaissance, le romantisme, la psychologie des profondeurs et l’anthropologie de l’imaginaire. Il s’agit ainsi de voir comment certaines formes d’ErE peuvent s’inspirer d’une sagesse ancienne pour proposer un rapport au monde vivant plus poétique, sensible et porteur de sens.
