Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

This issue of Cahiers François Viète follows on from a symposium entitled « Jacques Roger et l'histoire de la pensée scientifique » held on May 10 2022 at the annual Congres of the Société de philosophie du Québec (SPQ). The aim of this issue is to explore the objects of study and the methods of Jacques Roger (1920-1990). In so doing, it contributes to filling a major gap in secondary literature, by proposing the first comprehensive study devoted to the work and the legacy of the eighteenth-century scholar. Developing the proposals put forward by researchers close to Roger, this issue opens new vistas and contributes to the reconstruction of the intellectual panorama of the history and philosophy of science in France in the second half of the 20th century.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
