Abstract
Abstract. This research aims to achieve specific objectives, particularly in the management and preservation of cultural heritage buildings. A prevalent phenomenon is that modern urban development often threatens the existence of historical buildings. Additionally, the issue of owners wanting to alter the appearance of cultural heritage buildings poses a threat to these structures. The research employs a qualitative approach with interviews and observations. The analysis methods used are descriptive and oral historical. The findings indicate that owners of buildings on Jalan ABC, Bandung City, generally show a high commitment to preserving the original form and function of the buildings, with significant economic impacts and renovation plans focused on maintenance without altering the original architectural design. Despite concerns about changes to the buildings' appearances, the results show that owners prefer to maintain the historical and architectural values rather than making significant modifications.
