Abstract
Ao longo do século XX, principalmente devido às consequências da Primeira e da Segunda Guerra O objetivo deste artigo é discutir os procedimentos narrativos e estéticos do documentário tomando como base os filmes sobre a deposição de Dilma Rousseff da presidência da república em 2016. A escolha deste corpus se justifica pelo impeachment da primeira mulher presidenta do Brasil ter gerado um fenômeno inaudito na história de nosso cinema: nunca tantos filmes foram realizados sobre o mesmo tema em um período tão curto. Por meio da análise fílmica e da revisão bibliográfica, buscamos compreender como essas obras se aproximam e diferenciam entre si e o que isso pode afirmar sobre o cinema documentário contemporâneo. Ao longo do artigo, abordamos os principais fatores que explicam esta profusão (como o desejo de contribuir para a percepção e a narrativa dos acontecimentos) e algumas de suas consequências éticas e estéticas (como o pouco espaço ocupado pelas pessoas de outros espectros políticos no interior dessas obras).
