Avaliação multidimensional da pessoa idosa em risco de violência

Abstract
Objetivo: avaliar a associação entre o risco de violência e características multidimensionais da pessoa idosa. Método: pesquisa descritiva, de corte transversal e de abordagem quantitativa, realizada com 82 idosos. A pesquisa foi conduzida em uma policlínica na cidade de Queimadas-PB, Brasil, no período de agosto de 2023. Durante a pesquisa utilizou-se um instrumento de caracterização da amostra, além da Edmonton Frail Scale, do Hwalek-Sengstock Elder Abuse Screening Test (H-S/EAST), da Escala de Atividades Instrumentais de Vida Diária e do Índice de Independência em Atividades de Vida Diária, todos em sua versão adaptada transculturalmente para o contexto brasileiro. Resultados: houve predominância de idosos casados, com baixa escolaridade, aposentados e residentes com 1 a 3 pessoas. A maioria dos idosos é totalmente independente (52,4%), classificados como frágeis (57,3%) e em risco para violência (65,9%), predominante, em idosos parcialmente dependentes, frágeis e de baixa escolaridade. Conclusão: compreendeu-se a relação entre o risco de sofrer violência e os aspectos multifatoriais da pessoa idosa. A dependência funcional mostrou-se um fator importante, influenciando o risco de violência. Esse entendimento é crucial para estudos específicos e estratégias de prevenção, visando reduzir os riscos e índices de violência na pessoa idosa.
