Abstract
Trainees are the future of cardiovascular care and research in Canada. Although previous surveys have examined aspects of trainee success and professional development, a comprehensive national assessment of the perspectives and needs of clinical and research cardiovascular trainees is lacking. In 2024, the Canadian Cardiovascular Society Trainee Committee conducted a survey to evaluate the clinical, academic, and personal needs of cardiovascular trainees across Canada. Educational survey results from 86 trainees showed the highest-yield topic to be managing cardiovascular emergencies, and their preferred delivery of educational content was workshops and video tutorials.
