Abstract
Cette étude s’intéresse au rapport au corps des infirmiers de bloc opératoire (IBODE), spécifiquement en tant assistants de chirurgie. Il s’agit de comprendre de quelle manière le travail à proximité immédiate de l’effraction chirurgicale, sur le corps des opérés, impacte émotionnellement jusque dans leur corps ces professionnels de santé. Pour cela, la méthode qualitative a été utilisée. Huit entretiens auprès d’IBODE ont été réalisés, avec une grille d’entretien construite autour des trois thèmes majeurs de ce travail : le rapport au corps, les émotions qui y sont liées, et la gestion de ces émotions.Les données recueillies ont été encodées et quantifiées. Leur analyse a mis en lumière un rapport au corps parfois vécu comme violent, auquel il s’agit de faire face. Elle dévoile des mécanismes adaptatifs ou stratégies de « coping » que les IBODE mettent en place pour gérer leur travail au contact du corps ouvert de l’opéré, entremêlent déshumanisation et réhumanisation. Ils peuvent parfois ressentir des difficultés à vivre certaines situations, notamment face à la mort et au morcellement du corps, lors des prélèvements multi-organes et des amputations. Dans un contexte d’évolution constante du métier et des contenus de formation, notamment avec la mise place des sutures sur les corps issus de dons à la science, cette recherche souligne l’intérêt d’accorder du temps et ouvrir un espace de parole au vécu des IBODE. Cela participe à la qualité des soins et de la vie au travail.
