Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe teams games tournament materi manusia dan lingkungannya dikelas V SD St. Thomas 5 Medan. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang terdiri dari 2 siklus dengan subjek penelitian siswa kelas V sebanyak 31 orang siswa, 20 laki-laki dan 11 Perempuan. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah tes hasil belajar dalam bentuk pilihan ganda. Analisis data menggunakan analisis kuantitatif dan deskriptif kualitatif dengan menentukan ketuntasan hasil belajar siswa dan kemudian menentukkan kriteria keberhasilnya. Berdasarkan analisis data diperoleh bahwa 31 orang siswa pada kondisi awal (pretes) tingkat hasil belajar secara klasikal yaitu 9 orang siswa (29,03%) yang mencapai tingkat ketuntasan belajar dengan nilai rata-rata 50,32. Setelah pelaksanaan siklus I dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe teams games tournament (TGT) diperoleh tingkat ketuntasan hasil belajar secara klasikal yaitu 15 orang siswa (48,38%) yang mencapai tingkat ketuntasan belajar dengan nilai rata-rata 62,58. Setalah pelaksanaan siklus II dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe teams games tournament (TGT) diperoleh tingkat ketuntasan hasil belajar secara klasikal yaitu 26 orang siswa (83,87%) yang mencapai tingkat ketuntasan belajar dengan nilai rata rata 85,61. dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe teams games tournament (TGT) dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas v SD St. Thomas 5 Medan tema “Lingkungan Sahabat Kita” dalam materi Manusia dan Lingkungannya
