Abstract

(Bi[Formula: see text]Na[Formula: see text])[Formula: see text]Ba[Formula: see text]TiO 3 lead-free ceramic material was synthesized via the conventional solid-state reaction method. The dielectric and ferroelectric behavior was analyzed below the previous reported depolarization temperature, [Formula: see text]. The structural characteristics through the Raman spectroscopy were studied in the same temperature range. The dielectric analysis has shown a complex behavior characterized by an anomalous region between 50°C and 70°C, distinct from the primary ferroelectric and antiferroelectric transitions. This anomaly has been attributed to a combination of factors, including changes in domain reorientation and switching due to the increasing electrical stabilization of the antiferroelectric phase, which is confirmed by variations in remnant polarization, recovered energy density, and efficiency. The results have suggested that the material’s performance can be tailored by operating within this specific temperature range, opening up interesting possibilities for energy storage and other applications where control over the switching between ferroelectric and antiferroelectric phases is crucial.
