Abstract
For a long time, linguistics placed the main emphasis on the comprehensive study of literary language.Only those socially authoritative speech forms that reflected the intellectual and culturally significant heritage of the people were considered linguistically complete and worthy of special study.The language material chosen was that of speech works in which speech acted not as a means of everyday communication, but as a target in itself and a tool of art.Currently domestic and foreign linguists have shown an active interest in the study of colloquial speech, which is a means of implementing direct live communication.Linguistics has acquired a qualitatively new object -direct oral language communication, which continues to be the most important sphere of language functioning.Of great interest are observations on the relationship between the processes of formation of norms of bookish-written or literary speech and the norm of the second level, regulating the substandard variety of language during the formation of different national languages.This judgment emphasizes the increasing influence of colloquial speech on the process of national language formation.In connection with the increased interest in the formation of new nations, national cultures and national languages, a broad scientific research interest in the study of substandard varieties of these languages is revived.This article emphasizes the increasing influence of colloquial speech on the process of national language formation.In connection with the growing interest in the formation of new nations, national cultures and national languages, a broad scientific research interest in the study of substandard varieties of these languages is revived.It should be noted that the problem of the English language in other areas, for example, in Australia, New Zealand, Canada, is much less studied in domestic linguistics.In foreign linguistics, the study of English in Australia is the subject of works by such prominent Australian scholars as J.
