Att använda en dator underlättar delaktighet i ett brett spektrum av aktiviteter för lärande, kommunikation och lek för barn med omfattande funktionsnedsättningar. Dessa barn stöter dock på utmaningar gällande tillgänglighet och möjlighet att interagera med en dator. Ögonstyrning är då en innovativ metod som gör att barnen kan styra en dator med ögonrörelser och därigenom få del av den digitala världen. Det här kapitlet beskriver vad ögonstyrd dator-teknologi är och hur användbar den är för att förbättra delaktighet och autonomi för små barn med svåra och komplexa funktionsnedsättningar. Kapitlet tar sin utgångspunkt i två studier utförda i Taiwan. I kapitlet behandlas implikationer för hur en ögonstyrd dator kan användas i hemmet och utbildning för att öka deltagandet i lek, kommunikation och lärandeaktiviteter.
