Abstract
O capítulo apresenta a trajetória de vida e formação de Élida Monick, desde sua infância no Rio Grande do Norte até seu ingresso como oficial da Força Aérea Brasileira. Criada em uma família humilde, sempre valorizou a educação como instrumento de transformação. Após mudar-se para o Rio de Janeiro, enfrentou barreiras culturais, mas encontrou na escola um ambiente acolhedor e motivador. Desde cedo, revelou interesse pela docência, influenciada por amigas professoras e experiências escolares significativas. Cursou o magistério e, após tentativas frustradas, ingressou na Pedagogia pela UERJ via CEDERJ. Iniciou sua carreira docente em instituições filantrópicas e, posteriormente, foi aprovada como Professora de Educação Infantil na rede municipal do Rio. Durante sua trajetória, conciliou maternidade, trabalho e estudos, enfrentando desafios como a pandemia, que exigiu reinvenção das práticas pedagógicas. Demonstrou resiliência ao adaptar o ensino para o formato remoto, mantendo o vínculo com os alunos por meio de vídeos e atividades lúdicas. Em busca de crescimento, cursou pós-graduação e tentou ingressar nas Forças Armadas. Em 2023, foi aprovada no processo seletivo da Força Aérea, conquistando o posto de Aspirante-a-Oficial em 2024. Escolheu atuar no Colégio Brigadeiro Newton Braga, onde exerce a função de Chefe da Seção de Orientação Educacional do Ensino Fundamental I. Élida integra o Grupo de Estudos e Pesquisas das Escolas Assistencialistas da FAB e destaca a importância da troca de saberes e da formação contínua. Seu relato inspira pela força, persistência e pela crença no poder da educação para realizar sonhos e promover mudanças reais na vida das pessoas.
