Introduccion: La integridad de la piel perilesional es un factor crítico en la evolución favorable de las heridas. En la práctica clínica avanzada del cuidado de heridas, la elección del agente limpiador influye directamente en la restauración del equilibrio cutáneo, la prevención de infecciones y la eficacia terapéutica Metodos: Este artículo presenta una revisión bibliográfica con enfoque descriptivo-comparativo de los principales jabones, syndets y sustitutos del jabón empleados habitualmente en el tratamiento de pacientes con heridas en Guayaquil. Se evaluaron propiedades fisicoquímicas (pH, presencia de tensoactivos aniónicos vs. no iónicos, ingredientes bioactivos, tolerancia dermatológica), así como sus implicaciones clínicas a partir de literatura científica internacional y análisis de prospectos técnicos.Resultados: Los resultados evidencian una amplia heterogeneidad en los productos utilizados, incluyendo algunos con potencial irritativo o con escasa evidencia de seguridad en piel perilesional. Destacan positivamente aquellos formulados con pH fisiológico, ácido láctico, pantenol, extractos botánicos calmantes y libres de parabenos, los cuales muestran mejor perfil de seguridad cutánea. Conclusión: Este trabajo propone una base científica contextualizada para la toma de decisiones clínicas en el cuidado avanzado de heridas, sugiere líneas de investigación clínica local y urge la estandarización de protocolos institucionales basados en evidencia.
