Abstract
Un système de santé publique de calibre mondial repose avant tout sur une base solide d'excellence scientifique.À l'Agence de la santé publique du Canada (l'Agence), la science est au cœur de notre mission, qui vise à améliorer la santé de l'ensemble des personnes et des communautés au pays.Cette mission est inscrite dans notre loi habilitante, laquelle confie à l'administratrice en chef de la santé publique du Canada la responsabilité de fournir « au ministre et à la présidente (de l'Agence) des conseils en santé publique fondés sur des données scientifiques ».À titre d'institution nationale de santé publique, l'Agence finance, mène et mobilise la science pour éclairer les décisions par des données probantes, appuyer une communication claire avec le public et permettre à la population canadienne de prendre des mesures pour protéger et améliorer sa santé.
