The results of the study indicate that the function of the village head as the implementer of village development in Tirik Village, Tapin Tengah District, Tapin Regency is included in the category of quite capable. This can be seen from 50 respondents, as many as 24 respondents or (48.00%) who gave a fairly capable response, while 18 people or (36.00%) gave a capable response and 8 people or (16.00%) gave a less capable response. The obstacles are: a). A small part of the community is less active in development planning discussions, b). Low community understanding in absorbing the direction conveyed by the village head, c). In making decisions, the village head is often faced with conflicts between community groups and the wider community, d). Lack of ability of the village head to coordinate development implementation tasks, and e). Lack of supervision by the village head because he rarely comes to the development location. Efforts made: a). Improve coordination with community leaders, RW heads, and RT heads so that they are always active in development planning discussions. b). Providing explanations in simple language in everyday language, so that it is expected that the community can understand and absorb the direction given by the village head. c). Approaching community groups and providing explanations related to what will be decided. d). Approaching parties involved in the implementation of development. e). Increasing supervision and the village head tries to come to the development location more often. ABSTRAKHasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa fungsi kepala desa sebagai pelaksana pembangunan desa di Desa Tirik Kecamatan Tapin Tengah Kabupaten Tapin termasuk pada kategori cukup mampu hal ini dapat dilihat dari 50 orang responden, sebanyak 24 orang responden atau (48,00%) yang memberikan tanggapan cukup mampu, sementara 18 orang atau (36,00%) memberikan tanggapan mampu dan 8 orang atau (16,00%) memberikan tanggapan kurang mampu. Adapun hambatan : a). Masyarakat sebagian kecil kurang aktif dalam musyawarah perencanaan pembangunan, b). Rendahnya pemahaman masyarakat dalam menyerap pengarahan yang disampaikan kepala desa, c). Dalam mengambil keputusan kepala desa sering dihadapkan pada pertentangan antara kelompok masyarakat dan masyarakat banyak, d). Kurangnya kemampuan kepala desa untuk mengkoordinir tugas-tugas penyelenggaraan pembangunan, dan e). Kurangnya pengawasan yang dilakukan kepala desa karena jarang datang kelokasi pembangunan. Upaya yang dilakukan : a). Meningkatkan koordinasi dengan tokoh masyarakat, ketua RW, dan para ketua RT agar selalu aktif dalam musyawarah perencanaan pembangunan. b). Memberikan penjelasan dengan bahasa yang sederhana dalam arti bahasa keseharian dengan demikian diharapkan masyarakat dapat memahami dan menyerap pengarahan yang disampaikan kepala desa. c). Melakukan pendekatan pendekatan dengan kelompok masyarakat dan memberikan penjelasan terkait dengan apa yang akan diputuskan. d). Melakukan pendekatan kepada pihak pihak yang terlibat dalam penyelenggaraan pembangunan. e). Meningkatkan pengawasan dan kepala desa berupaya lebih sering datang kelokasi pembangunan.
