Nouvelle Conscience : un meurtre, un flic, une IA de Robert G. Forge est le récit du développement de l’IA d’un nouveau genre. Peu de temps après le commencement, l’aventure de la fabrication de l’IA passe au polar comme le sous-titre l’indique. Ce qui nous hante ici est de savoir le discours auquel a été soumise la mise en fiction de l’intelligence artificielle et le comment de la fictionnalisation d’altérité dans le contexte complexe de notre monde. En effet, à l’époque actuelle, on est témoins d’une part, des tentatives des techno-rationalistes et scientistes pour la progression inconditionnelle de la technologie, et d’autre part, de l’inquiétude des moralistes devant les dangers probables et les usages contre-humains de la technologie. De ce fait, il est intéressant de savoir comment la fiction se confronte à ces réalités problématiques. La structure polyphonique de Nouvelle Conscience nous permet de le traiter au niveau discursif pour relever les interactions de différents discours sur l’IA. Pour y arriver, nous nous appuyons sur l’approche théorique de l’analyse du discours littéraire (ADL) selon Dominique Maingueneau. Nos analyses montreront que Nouvelle Conscience de Rober G. Forge, tout en dénonçant les aspects problématiques du développement de l’IA, incite le lecteur à réfléchir à son rapport au monde technique contemporain à travers une vision humaniste.
