Conceptions du métier de futurs enseignant.es en éducation physique au Québec issues de groupes de codéveloppement professionnel

Abstract
Au Québec, la discipline scolaire éducation physique et à la santé (EPS) s’articule autour de trois compétences qui permettent aux élèves du primaire et du secondaire d’apprendre à : 1) agir ; 2) interagir dans divers contextes d’activités physiques et 3) adopter un mode vie sain et actif (ministère de l’Éducation du Québec, MEQ, 2006). À partir de ce curriculum prescrit, cette étude vise à mettre au jour les conceptions professionnelles de futurs enseignant.es en EPS en mobilisant notamment la typologie des traditions d’enseignement proposée par Forest et al. (2018). Les données collectées auprès de 142 étudiant.es québécois.es en EPS concernent : 1) des enregistrements audios issus de groupes de codéveloppement professionnel (Champagne, 2021) ; 2) des bilans écrits issus des apprentissages individuels et collectifs rapportés. Après analyse qualitative de contenus de type catégoriel (Bardin, 2013), les résultats montrent que l’éducation à la santé représente la conception dominante de la part des étudiant.es interrogé.es, tout en étant animé.es par d’autres finalités comme le développement global, la socialisation, la citoyenneté ou encore le développement moteur des élèves.
