Abstract

Kawasan Ekowisata Mangrove Klawalu di Kota Sorong, Papua Barat Daya, memiliki potensi ekologis dan ekonomi yang tinggi, namun menghadapi berbagai tantangan seperti pencemaran sampah dan rendahnya partisipasi masyarakat dalam pelestarian lingkungan. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran dan pemahaman masyarakat serta mahasiswa mengenai pentingnya konservasi mangrove dan pengembangan ekowisata berkelanjutan. Melalui pendekatan partisipatif, kegiatan dilakukan dalam bentuk sosialisasi, pelatihan, dan praktik langsung di lapangan, yang melibatkan mahasiswa, masyarakat lokal, dan instansi pemerintah. Evaluasi melalui pre-test dan post-test menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam pengetahuan peserta. Diskusi kelompok dan praktik penanaman mangrove juga memperlihatkan antusiasme dan komitmen peserta dalam mendukung konservasi lingkungan. Kegiatan ini berhasil membangun sinergi antara akademisi, masyarakat, dan pemerintah, serta menjadi model pengembangan ekowisata berbasis konservasi yang dapat direplikasi di wilayah lain.
