Les espaces éthiques d’engagement à Natashquan et Nutashkuan : vers une pratique décolonisante du travail social

Abstract
Le Canada et le Québec sont actuellement engagés dans un mouvement de réconciliation. Cet article empirique, qui se base sur les données d’une recherche, explore les espaces informels de réconciliation, notamment les lieux métaphoriques et physiques où des membres de communautés autochtones et allochtones se rencontrent dans un espace éthique d’engagement. À Natashquan et Nutashkuan, ces espaces éthiques peuvent se manifester sous forme de cafés, de poésie et de territoire. Ces divers lieux contribuent à enrichir les perspectives et la posture de l’intervenant.e, favorisant ainsi la décolonisation des esprits et la formation des travailleurs.ses sociaux.les. Cela vise également à promouvoir une réconciliation entre cette profession et les communautés autochtones. Cet article traite de l’histoire du travail social dans le contexte autochtone et de l’évolution vers une décolonisation de cette pratique. La méthodologie de recherche inclut des entretiens avec des participants.es ayant pris part à un atelier de poésie à Nutashkuan et fréquenté le café L’Échouerie à Natashquan, ainsi que des observations et des notes de terrain. Les résultats de l’étude mettent de l’avant le rôle crucial des différents espaces en tant que lieux favorables à des rencontres et des dialogues interculturels authentiques, les établissant ainsi comme des espaces éthiques d’engagement.
