• Dual BCL-2/BCL-X L inhibition has shown compelling efficacy in overcoming drug resistance in mantle cell lymphoma. • The induced pyroptosis in MCL is mediated through a BAK/BAX-dependent pathway. • The identified pyroptosis mechanism suggests a novel combination strategy with immunotherapies for cancer treatment.
