Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji bagaimana audiens memaknai representasi quarter life crisis melalui lagu-lagu dalam albu “Menari Dengan Bayangan” karya Hinda. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan teori analisis resepsi Stuart Hall, penelitian ini menganalisis tanggapan delapan informan terhadap pesan yang disampaikan dalam lirik dan musik. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa sebagian besar informan menempati posisi negotiated, yaitu menerima sebagian pesan dan menyesuaikanya dengan pengalaman pribadi. Sementara itu, sebagian informan menempati posisi dominat-hegemonic dan menerima makna lagu sepenuhnya. Lagu-lagu dalam album ini dianggap mampu mewakili keresahal emosional dan kompleksitas psikologis yang dialami generasi muda dalam menghadapi masa transisi kehidupan. Musik tidak hanya berperan sebagai hiburan, tetapi juga sebagai media ekspresi dan validasi emosional yang penting bagi pendengarnya.
