Abstract

Abstract. Panyaweuyan Terracing in Majalengka Regency has great potential as an agro-eco tourism destination, but its development remains suboptimal. This study aims to formulate development strategies through a mixed-methods approach, utilizing agro-eco tourism analysis and SWOT analysis. Data were obtained through field observations, interviews with 10 stakeholders, and questionnaires administered to 98 tourists. Agro-eco tourism analysis reveals four key indicators: (1) environmental sustainability is moderately good through traditional terracing systems following slope contours and crop rotation that maintains soil fertility, (2) community participation remains informal but involves three villages with employment absorption up to 90 people during peak season, (3) environmental education is not optimally integrated into tourism programs despite farmers serving as key informants, and (4) local economic development is still limited to culinary and parking sectors with suboptimal integration of agriculture-tourism value chains. SWOT analysis positions the area in quadrant I (aggressive) with coordinates (0.67, 0.87), indicating dominant internal strengths and favorable external opportunities. The main recommended strategy is developing sustainable agricultural education tourism programs supported by improved accessibility infrastructure, particularly road improvements and parking areas. This strategy is expected to optimize the area's potential as a sustainable agro-eco tourism destination while maintaining conservation values and improving local community welfare through integrated development that balances agricultural productivity with tourism activities.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
