Abstract

Abstract. The Galunggung Mountain Ecotourism Area possesses significant potential in natural, geological, and cultural aspects, yet has experienced inadequate tourism infrastructure development, limited to basic facility maintenance. Despite being designated as Tasikmalaya Regency's prime tourism destination in late 2018, comprehensive development remains insufficient. This research aims to formulate development strategies for Galunggung Mountain Ecotourism Area as a leading tourism destination using a mixedmethod approach through, Importance Performance Analysis, and SWOT analysis. IPA results reveal comprehensively low tourist satisfaction levels, with all 4A components requiring development. However, amenities emerged as the primary priority factor needing immediate improvement. The formulated strategy integrates ecotourism concepts with educational tourism, presenting new development opportunities through additional attractions, specifically a geological museum. This museum concept encompasses eruption history displays, volcanological processes of volcanic formation, and hot spring features. Subsequent strategies focus on enhancing existing objects, infrastructure, and management practices through routine maintenance activities, environmental cleanliness preservation, and active tourism promotion via social media utilization. This comprehensive approach addresses both immediate infrastructure needs and long-term sustainability objectives, positioning Galunggung Mountain as a competitive ecotourism destination that balances conservation with educational value and visitor satisfaction. Edukasi wisata menjadi peluang baru pengembangan kawasan wisata Gunung Galunggung melalui penambahan atraksi baru berupa museum geologi.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
