Keterkaitan Penerapan Biophilic Cities terhadap Urban Stress Masyarakat Kota Bandung
Bibliographic record
Abstract
Abstract. Rapid urban growth triggers environmental degradation and increases urban stress caused by traffic congestion, air pollution, high temperatures, and the scarcity of natural elements. The biophilic cities concept offers a sustainable planning approach that integrates nature to enhance psychological well-being. This study identifies forms of urban stress in Bandung City (particularly emotional stress experienced in urban environments) and examines their relationship with biophilic elements. It focuses on three locations with different spatial characteristics: Bandung City Hall as a representation of office areas, Bandung Institute of Technology as an educational environment, and Grand Sharon Residence as an urban residential area. A mixed-method with descriptive quantitative and qualitative approaches was applied, involving field observations and questionnaires administered to 100 selected respondents. Findings show that 99% of respondents experience urban stress, with dominant factors varying by location. Biophilic elements such as natural air circulation, vegetation, water presence, and visual connection with nature are perceived to reduce stress. Areas with optimal biophilic implementation tend to have lower stress levels, emphasizing the importance of integrating this concept into psychologically friendly urban planning.

Machine scores (provisional)
The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.
Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
