Este estudo avaliou o potencial das redes sociais como ferramenta para disseminar informações técnicas em zootecnia, visando alcançar produtores rurais e o público em geral. A pesquisa, realizada de janeiro a dezembro de 2021, consistiu na publicação semanal de conteúdo técnico no Instagram, utilizando o perfil oficial do curso de zootecnia da UFVJM (@dzoufvjm) e quatro perfis de estudantes. A análise dos resultados, baseada nos dados fornecidos pelo Instagram, revelou um crescimento significativo no perfil do curso ao longo do período, especialmente no segundo semestre. Embora o aplicativo não forneça parâmetros absolutos para avaliar o desempenho das publicações técnicas, o aumento nas métricas do perfil oficial sugere uma maior credibilidade e confiança por parte do público. O estudo também identificou estratégias eficazes para otimizar o alcance das publicações, como a postagem de conteúdo relevante para o cotidiano do público, de segunda a sexta-feira, entre 9h e 21h. Em suma, a pesquisa demonstrou que as redes sociais, quando utilizadas de forma estratégica, são uma ferramenta valiosa para a divulgação instantânea de informações técnicas em zootecnia e agronegócio, facilitando a comunicação e a disseminação de conhecimento.
