Abstract
Dans le cadre de notre mémoire Étude de la relation entre la variation phonologique topolectale et la production d’erreurs orthographiques en français (Payeur, 2025), nous avons fait passer un questionnaire à choix multiples visant à identifier la bonne orthographe québécois, et des Wolkrangeois, parlant le français belge. L’objectif était de comparer la groupes. Les répondants sherbrookois ont obtenu un taux de réussite 12,3 % plus élevé que les répondants wolkrangeois. Pour l’analyse, plusieurs facteurs ont été retenus afin d’expliquer cet écart. De ces derniers, l’association phonie-graphie est celui qui est le plus pertinent à notre étude. En effet, ce facteur oppose les deux groupes de sujets, puisqu’il constitue une variation topolectale documentée entre les deux variétés. La performance des répondants au questionnaire démontre que la phonologie peut avantager un groupe, tout comme elle peut le désavantager. Étant donné la prononciation des mots à l’étude dans ce variété belge et de la variété québécoise afin d’établir les associations graphèmes-phonèmes. d’émettre une hypothèse quant aux difficultés en orthographe que peuvent éprouver les participants de notre enquête.
