Recenzowana publikacja autorstwa Marcina A. Klemenskiego stanowi pierwszą próbę pełnej biografii Alberta, księcia strzeleckiego z dynastii Piastów górnośląskich, który panował w pierwszej połowie XIV wieku. Praca, będąca rozszerzoną wersją pracy licencjackiej, składa się z czterech rozdziałów, omawiających kolejno genealogię, politykę zagraniczną, politykę wewnętrzną oraz najbliższe otoczenie księcia. Autor rzetelnie wykorzystał dostępne źródła, w tym dokumenty z Archiwum Państwowego we Wrocławiu oraz Nekrolog klasztoru w Jemielnicy, jednak recenzent wskazuje na kilka braków w doborze literatury oraz nieścisłości interpretacyjne.
