Dynamic response characteristics of airport pavement foundations under aircraft taxiing loads

Abstract

In this study, the dynamic response characteristics of the upper roadbed of Kunming Changshui Airport Metro Line 6 Tunnel (burial depth of 10.5m) under B777-300ER and B767-300 aircraft taxiing load (40m/s) were analyzed by establishing a 3D finite element model. The results show that the peak vertical displacement (25.37mm) caused by the B777-300ER is 3.76 times that of the B767-300 (6.74mm), the peak dynamic stress is 2.1 times, and the depth of influence (6.26m) is 1.47 times that of the B767-300; the displacement and stress of the shallow roadbed show an inverted pot-bottom distribution, while the deeper one shows a linear decay; the acceleration response shows a symmetric and exponential decay, with the depth of influence reaching 8.94m (6.26m), and the acceleration response shows a symmetric exponential decay. The symmetric exponential decay of the acceleration response, with a depth of influence of 8.94m (threshold 0.1m/s²), suggests that the acceleration index should be prioritized to evaluate the dynamic response. The study provides a theoretical basis for the vibration reduction design of airport-metro co-located facilities.
