Les bibliothèques ont changé. Certes, il existe toujours des espaces de détente et des livres, mais désormais des salles d’exposition, des jeux vidéo, des lieux de restauration et des espaces de co-working y sont implantés. Avec cette transformation récente et face à la volonté des acteurs culturels de rendre toujours plus accessibles leurs produits, il est important de s’interroger sur les stratégies d’inclusion et en particulier sur les déterminants d’une expérience inclusive dans ces ateliers qui font appel à la créativité artistique et technologique. Plus spécifiquement, le présent projet s’inscrivant dans une approche par Laboratoire vivant entend circonscrire sa réflexion à deux activités que les Bibliothèques de Montréal souhaitent offrir dans ses établissements, le Fab Lab et la Ruche d’art. Il s’agira d’établir, dans un cadre de collaboration étroite avec toutes les parties prenantes, un inventaire des caractéristiques propres à ces ateliers et à l’environnement pour comprendre les besoins de personnes ayant des incapacités en regard des ateliers de créativité ainsi que les facteurs venant faciliter ou limiter la qualité de l’expérience inclusive dans de tels ateliers, pour ensuite répertorier des actions pouvant en faciliter l’accessibilité.
