Abstract
Le projet Cimopolée, labellisé par le Space Climate Observatory (SCO, https ://www.spaceclimateobservatory.org/) et financé par le CNES, a débuté fin 2022 et s’inscrit dans la continuité de ces travaux avec pour objectif la mise en place d’un outil en ligne permettant de mobiliser des données spatialisées d’Observation de la Terre (OT) et de contexte sur Madagascar pour aider à la mitigation des risques.L’outil permettra aussi de générer des rapports d’impact donnant des informations sur la population exposée, les infrastructures impactées et l’étendue des zones touchées. Cet outil est spécifié et développé conjointement par l’UMR Espace-Dev, l’IOGA et le BNGRC (Bureau National de Gestion des Risques et des Catastrophes de Madagascar). Ce travail a notamment était réalisé au cours de 3 ateliers de travail commun à La Réunoin et Madagascar. L’outil développé dans le cadre du projet Cimopolée propose une interface permettant de suivre un événement cyclonique en temps quasi réel et d’extraire des informations sur les zones touchées. On y trouve aussi un onglet pour l’étude de cyclones historiques marquants de ces 5 dernières années.
