Abstract
O presente artigo analisa os impactos do neoliberalismo na educação superior pública brasileira, com ênfase na práxis do professor universitário frente à mercantilização do ensino e à reconfiguração da universidade. A partir de uma abordagem teórica-documental, fundamentada nos estudos de Marx, Freire, Vázquez, Laval, Chauí, entre outros, busca-se compreender como a racionalidade neoliberal, centrada na lógica do mercado, na eficiência gerencial e na competitividade, vem influenciando a formação docente, a função social da universidade e os processos de avaliação e gestão acadêmica. Eembora a lógica neoliberal busque impor padrões homogeneizantes, a universidade continua sendo um espaço de disputa, onde emergem resistências e práticas contra-hegemônicas. Assim, defende-se uma práxis crítica, ética e transformadora, que reafirme a centralidade do conhecimento, a autonomia universitária e o compromisso social da educação superior. Mais do que resistência, trata-se de consolidar um projeto de universidade pública comprometida com a emancipação humana e com a construção de uma sociedade democrática.
