Abstract
O artigo inicia com a reflexão sobre o aspecto educativo das proposições experimentais de Hélio Oiticica a partir da década de 1960, em que o artista se dedica a ampliar a participação ativa do espectador na arte e nas questões da vida. A partir dessa premissa, identifica diversos princípios contidos em escritos do artista que são relevantes à formação humana e a possibilidade de transformação social, portanto também são valiosos para a educação. Em seguida, faz a descrição e a análise do Projeto Mona Lisa Contemporânea, que consiste em uma proposição que busca testar os princípios de Oiticica em uma prática artística educativa, desenvolvida com estudantes do Ensino Fundamental das escolas públicas: EEEF Francisco Alves Mendes e EMEF Prof. Naly da Encarnação Miranda. A experiência realizada demonstrou que os princípios encontrados na atuação de Oiticica podem servir de parâmetros para o enriquecimento e potencialização da arte e da educação na formação crítica, emancipatória e propositiva dos estudantes.
