Abstract
This article devoted to Queen Elizabeth II (1926–2022) who was the longest-reigning monarch in British history. The author describes the period of life and times of Queen Elizabeth II from her birth to 1947. Described the beginning of a new Elizabethan era in "The Queen Elizabeth" rose by American breeder Lammerts and introduced in 1954, two years after Queen Elizabeth II ascended the throne. She wasn't born to be a Queen. But in the end she became one of the most influential monarchs in the entire history of the country. She ruled for nearly three-quarters of a century while the world around her changed. During her reign, man landed on the moon and there were 16 prime ministers from Winston Churchill to Margaret Thatcher to Boris Johnson to Liz Truss. She was a symbol of unity in both good and difficult times. She knew the unique position she was in and understood her role, which is why she was so successful in it. The Queen is no more. But she left behind a huge legacy. Mentioned several notable films and series in the article are set during this a period in British history (roughly 1926–1947): The Gathering Storm (1974; 2002), The King's Speech (2010), Darkest Hour (2017), A Royal Night Out (2015, UK), The Crown (2016–2022, UK, USA).
