Abstract
Il y a plusieurs années déjà que les peuples autochtones et de nombreux chercheurs rejettent une conception coloniale de l’anthropologie qui faisait du spécialiste non autochtone la seule voix autorisée à interpréter la parole de ses interlocuteurs autochtones, réduits au statut d’« informateurs », et les expropriait leurs savoirs. Dans nos recherches de longue durée avec les Maseual-Nahuas de la Sierra Nororiental de Puebla, au Mexique, nous avons essayé depuis 1984 de pratiquer une autre anthropologie, fondée sur un dialogue des savoirs (Pérez Ruíz et Argueta Vilamar 2019). Il en est résulté un changement profond dans les rapports de pouvoir entre l’anthropologue et les co-chercheurs et co-chercheuses autochtones du Taller de Tradición Oral Totamachilis. Tant l’enquête de terrain que l’interprétation des données et l’écriture de ce produit type de l’ethnographie, la monographie anthropologique, s’en sont trouvées transformées. Notre recherche, dont les thèmes ont été déterminés en dialogue avec le Taller, a couvert, en près de quarante ans, la tradition historique, la flore et la faune, la toponymie, la médecine traditionnelle et le chamanisme. Quant aux publications, la priorité a été donnée à des textes bilingues (en maseualtajtol et en espagnol), distribués à faible coût dans la région.
