The research purpose is to analyze the programs of Opening Ceremonies of world complex sports competitions based on the author's conceptual development of "cultural code in sport", its functions, types, categories (on the example of the Games of the XXIX Olympiad of 2008 in Beijing, the XXI Olympic Winter Games of 2010 in Vancouver, the XXVII World Summer Universiade of 2013 in Kazan, the XXVIII World Winter Universiade of 2017 in Almaty). Research methods and organization. To analyze the programs of the Opening Ceremonies of the ceremonies under consideration, the author's conceptual development of "cultural code in sport", as well as its functions, types and categories were used. A distinctive feature of this study is the selection of events for analysis, namely the Olympic Games (Beijing, China) and the Olympic Winter Games (Vancouver, Canada), the World Summer Universiade (Kazan, Russia) and the World Winter Universiade (Almaty, Kazakhstan), which took place not only in cities around the world, but also on different continents. This allowed conducting a comparative analysis taking into account cultural characteristics and context. Research results and their discussion. Analysis and systematization of the constituent components of the cultural code of the episodes of the artistic part in the program of the Opening Ceremonies of the Games of the XXIX Olympiad of 2008 in Beijing, the XXI Olympic Winter Games of 2010 in Vancouver, the XXVII World Summer Universiade of 2013 in Kazan, the XXVIII World Winter Universiade of 2017 in Almaty were conducted. The results are systematized and presented in tables. The analysis revealed common trends - the use of national symbols, an emphasis on history and values and a desire to reflect a multicultural society. At the same time, differences in the methods of representation were found, due to the cultural context and the goals set. Conclusion. This analysis allowed us to identify the peculiarities in the application of the cultural code in sport within the framework of the Opening Ceremonies under consideration. Despite certain differences in content, but the same features of the content of the cultural code itself, it can be considered as a model that can be used in various types of competitions, regardless of the level and scale, time of year, age and number of participants.
