L’objectif de la présente étude était d’élaborer, de mettre en œuvre et de valider un dispositif d’enseignement des connaissances morphologiques afin de soutenir le développement du vocabulaire transdisciplinaire chez des élèves de quatrième année du primaire. Pour concevoir un dispositif qui articule rigueur scientifique et réalité du terrain, nous avons opté pour une démarche de recherche-développement (Bergeron et al., 2021), structurée en cinq phases : la précision, la structuration, le développement, l’amélioration et la diffusion. Le dispositif d’enseignement conçu a été soumis à deux mises à l’essai successives pour sa validation. La démarche est présentée en décrivant les objectifs, le contenu, les outils de collecte de données utilisés, ainsi que la procédure de collecte et d’analyse des données pour chaque phase. Cette présentation méthodologique est suivie des résultats spécifiques à chacune des phases du développement du dispositif. Les retombées scientifiques et sociales de l’étude sont également discutées, de même que ses principales limites.
