P enser les infrastructures du Nord requiert une connaissance intime des dfis quotidiens auxquels font face les communauts autochtones et locales dans leur intersectionnalit, leur localit et leur temporalit.Ces infrastructures, conceptualises et analyses de diffrentes faons par les autrices et auteurs, se frayent ainsi un chemin entre dynamiques structurantes coloniales et pouvoirs d'action locaux tant autochtones qu'allochtones.Ces infrastructures oprent ainsi sur un terrain la fois matriel etimmatriel, symbolisant les promesses et les dsenchantements de la modernit entre ncessits contemporaines de survie et qualit de vie, et l'espoir d'un meilleur futur bas sur les besoins rels des communauts, lesquelles sont affectes par le dveloppement d'infrastructures qui les dpossdent de leurs terres et de tout ce que cette terre symbolise.C'est ainsi que les analyses de ce numro thmatique se situent.Carly Dokis dmarre ce numro en proposant une analyse approfondie des techniques et des infrastructures de gouvernance tatique de l'eau et ses consquences au sein de la Premire Nation Dokis, situe sur l'le Okikendawt.Dans l'article suivant, Philipp Budka examine le rle des voies ferres de Churchill, au Manitoba, afin d'explorer les dynamiques structurelles de changements et des transformations socio-techniques et conomiques.
