Abstract

El aborto en Colombia ha sido objeto de un amplio debate en torno a la autonomía reproductiva, la salud pública y los marcos legales que lo regulan. Este estudio tuvo como objetivo realizar una revisión sistemática de la literatura y analizar la evolución normativa y jurisprudencial del aborto en el país, con el fin de identificar avances, limitaciones y retos en la garantía de los derechos sexuales y reproductivos. Se siguieron las directrices PRISMA, con búsqueda en bases de datos biomédicas (PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science, SciELO, Redalyc) y jurídicas (HeinOnline, Scopus Law, Legis), incluyendo publicaciones entre 1990 y 2025. Se identificaron 18 estudios principales, mayoritariamente cualitativos, que abordaron percepciones, barreras y transformaciones sociales frente al aborto legal. Los hallazgos evidencian persistencia de obstáculos institucionales, desigualdad en el acceso y una sociedad polarizada entre visiones conservadoras y enfoques basados en derechos humanos. La Corte Constitucional ha desarrollado una línea progresiva de protección del derecho a decidir, desde la despenalización parcial (C-355 de 2006) hasta la ampliación del derecho (C-055 de 2022). En conclusión, el aborto en Colombia ha pasado de ser un delito a un derecho constitucional, aunque con aplicación desigual que exige fortalecer la educación sexual, la capacitación sanitaria y la regulación efectiva de la objeción de conciencia.
