Entre denúncias e anúncios: a Feira de Matemática no dizer de estudantes expositores

A Feira de Matemática completa em 2025 quarenta anos de história. Ela, que surgiu em Santa Catarina, se consolidou e se expandiu para outros estados, inclusive com edições em nível nacional. Tal Feira conta com a participação majoritária de professores(as) e estudantes da Educação Básica, que produzem e apresentam trabalhos/pesquisas realizadas no âmbito escolar. Com base neste contexto, realizamos uma pesquisa de cunho qualitativo, em que foram entrevistados 13 estudantes expositores da Feira Regional de Matemática de Rio do Sul – SC. Neste artigo, temos como objetivo identificar denúncias e anúncios nas falas de estudantes expositores acerca da sua própria participação na Feira de Matemática. A análise das entrevistas foi realizada à luz do legado de Paulo Freire. Duas temáticas emergiam no estudo: a primeira descreve o processo de constituição do trabalho, enquanto a segunda diz respeito ao(s) dia(s) da exposição. De modo geral, as denúncias revelam um fetiche pela aplicabilidade dos conteúdos matemáticos e a manutenção dos discursos meritocráticos. No que tange aos anúncios, percebeu-se a matemática como ferramenta para compreender o tema/problema estudado, o diálogo e a comunicação como postura assumida pelos(as) envolvidos(as) na e com a Feira de Matemática, a avaliação como problematizadora, e o respeito ao apreender com o(a) outro(a).
