Abstract
Este art?culo aborda el concepto de la constituci?n del hisp?nico desde una serie de perspectivas aparentemente poco ortodoxas. En primer lugar, sit?a el contexto temporal de la investigaci?n en la arquitectura y las pr?cticas art?sticas def?nales del siglo XX y principios del siglo XXI. En segundo lugar, propone la idea de que, en realidad, lo que normalmente se define como barroco no es sino el reflejo de una forma de mirar o ver la barroca, por as? decirlo que en realidad es atemporal; mirada selectiva y global que, hist?ricamente, ha impregnado las obras de la literatura, el arte, la arquitectura, la ciencia y la filosof?a. En tercer lugar, aqu? se sostiene que la arquitectura barroca, despu?s de sus primeras manifestaciones en Europa y posteriormente en Am?rica, se encuentra todav?a en proceso de desarrollo y establecimiento, formando parte, por lo tanto, de un sistema abierto. Estos argumentos son ilustrados a trav?s de una ex?gesis de la labor del difunto arquitecto colombiano Rogelio Salmona (1929-2007), utilizando conceptos derivados de la arquitectura, la filosof?a y la literatura. Dos de las obras maestras de Salmona constituyen el objeto de la investigaci?n: su propia casa de fin de semana, dise?ada y construida en el cambio de siglo, y la sede del Fondo de Cultura Econ?mica para Suram?rica, completada a principios de 2008.
