Abstract
Die vorliegende Bachelorarbeit hat das Gebärdensprachdolmetschen während der Geburt zum Inhalt. Konkret wird der Schwerpunkt auf folgende Forschungsfrage gelegt: Was sind die Besonderheiten und Herausforderungen des Gebärdensprachdolmetschens während einer Geburt? Die Beantwortung dieser Fragestellung erfolgte unter Anwendung von Literatur in Zusammenhang mit den Themen Gehörlosigkeit, Geburt und Berufsbild Gebärdensprachdolmetscher:in sowie zwölf geführten Einzelinterviews mittels einer qualitativen Methode. Die aus den Interviews erarbeiteten Transkriptionen sowie deren Analyse und Auswertung bildeten demzufolge eine erweiterte Grundlage zur Beantwortung dieser Kernfrage. Damit konnten die Besonderheiten und Herausforderungen des Gebärdensprachdolmetschens während der Geburt herauskristallisiert werden. Als Endergebnis könnte im Anschluss an diese Arbeit ein Empfehlungsleitfaden entstehen, der Gebärdensprachdolmetscher:innen als Hilfsmittel für einen Einsatz bei einer Geburt dienen kann.
